While my Mum was up we headed out and explored my new surroundings which luckily for me includes this gorgeous jetty which is the perfect location for family photography. The day we went a storm was on it's way so we had the whole thing to ourselves for most of the time, which is quite uncommon if you were to visit on a nice sunny day. Definitely one of Brisbane's best family day out spots. On my way out I grabbed the camera thinking it would be staying in the car far from the rain but fortunately we stayed dry and I managed to capture some cute moment's of my own little family.

Miss S & Master B - Sandstone Point Family Photographer

A few weeks ago I photographed one of my favourite little Bribie Island families. They were one of the first families I met when I moved to Queensland and I am glad that we have stayed good friends.

We met in Sandstone Point by the water on one of the only windy days in July. This didn't stop Miss S showing off her chosen dress for the day which she is very known for. Got to love little girls!

Here's a sneaky little shot of Byron today playing in a bath at a friends place. I was trying to get a shot of her boys but they were having far to much fun crashing trucks. Next time I'm going to fill the bath with chocolate so they stay!

Kelsey recently turned 21 and as a Birthday present my Aunty organised with me a photo shoot for Kelsey whilst I was down in Melbourne. She got first slot which was still quite bright so we went with it and got some nice airy shots.. I think they worked well, even with the stray dog that decided it wanted in on the action!

Whilst in Melbourne I had the pleasure of catching up with an old friend and her gorgeous little boy who was about to turn 1. Master C was such a funny little thing, super coy and full of little smirks in front of the camera. I had such a nice afternoon, chatting away that before we knew it the sun was going down. Bribie Island Wedding Photography | Part 2

After the ceremony the Wedding party headed to the calm side of Bribie Island for some photos in the afternoon light. Just before the sun set we headed down to Sunsets park to watch the sun set over the Pumicestone passage with the Glass House mountains in the distance. Such a beautiful evening.

Over the weekend I attended another fantastic Blog meet hosted by the girls at Hello Blogger Events. The meet entailed a fantastic evening at Hanazono for Teppanyaki, followed by a catch up on the 62nd floor of the Q1 building on the Goldcoast. Definitely a night to remember.

A few months back I started going to a new playgroup where I met some lovely new Mums, one of them being Lauren who is one of the most down to earth people I've ever met. Not long after meeting, Lauren asked if I would be the photographer at her Wedding and after a little hesitation I got my sister in law on board and said yes.

Fast forward a couple of months and Lauren and Michael were married at the Bribie Island Fairways Golf resort where the weather gods delivered a gorgeous day.

A few weeks back I had the privilege of photographing the Bradley family who are close friends of ours from Victoria. They were Holidaying on the Sunshine coast and road tripped it down to Bribie Island for a family photo session..

It was only days before the terrible floods hit Brisbane so to say the least Qld's weather wasn't at it's best. We however were lucky enough to get all the photos taken between rain storms and then took cover at the local icecream shop. Yummo!!

Considering the dreary old day it was the photos turned out lovely and the family love them.. Can't wait to catch up with them again!

Lazy Bones

Last month at our Health Nurse check Harper really wasnt in the mood to do, well anything really.. He just flopped about and wouldnt support his head whilst on his tummy, wouldn't chat and definatly didn't want to smile.. I assured her he was just being lazy and that he was doing all the right things, just not there, where it mattered..
A month has past and we are heading in for his 4 month check, and just incase he desides to pretend he's a new born again I've got photo evidence!

Point & Shoot - Weekend Away

This weekend was spent eating and laughing with family at our holiday house in Mansfield..

Time between torrential rain and thunder storms was spent taking photos and riding old bikes we found stashed in the garage. It would have been a perfect weekend if my little bambino hadn't forgotten how to sleep. Definatly experienced a few zombie moments!

I took the boys to the Zoo last week as we haven't been in ages and silly me thought Byron would have a ball but this is not quite how it played out.. He kicked and screamed his way around all the animals, stopped for a quick look at the monkeys and then continued on not listening to a word I said.. It was definatly one of those days!
Mick is definatly doing the next Zoo trip!

Here's a couple more pics of my sister taken whilst we were searching the local area for some new spots last week... We got a few strange looks from passing cyclists whilst trecking into the pines with the camera, guitar and Harper in the capsule! Not something you see everyday! Was lots of fun though!

Whilst on holidays my sister inlaw to be introduced me to the world of Lomography and now im completely hooked!!..
I came home super excited and told my sister about it who is now also just as hooked! Woops!

So we jumped straight on ebay and purchased a Brand new Diana F+ that someone recieved for Xmas and didnt want! How could you not want one of these babies!!??

Now all we need to do is grab some 120film (disadvantage of living in the country - local camera store is 30kms away) and we are set!

Yesterday Paige (my sister) and I set out to find a few locations that would be good for some teen portraits as I have been asked to do some for my cousin and her friends soon. We scouted out this local graffiti and took a few shots to test it out.

Today Harper and I headed to the shopping centre to get some photos of him printed to pop up on the mantel next to all the Byron photos.. I got the second one of these printed but where the light is brightest on his face it looks a little glary.. It's okay from a distance but upclose you need your sunnies on! Need to work on my editing skills and dull it down a tad!

To the Beach we go...

On Monday we took the kids for their first trip to the beach. Immediately you could tell Byron was a country kid, unsure of this strange giant sandpit and definatly not a fan of having dirty feet!

After checking the water out with his Aunties he wasn't so scared.. Still far from a beach lover though!

I have been trying to get a picture of Byron and Harper together for Christmas cards for the past couple of days and it's turning out alot harder then first thought.. I set them up, they look great, then I reach for the camera and bam, Byrons gone, or harpers crying.. I am going to try by myself once more and then I think a second set of hands would do the trick..

The newest addition to our family is already nearly 3 weeks old and has changed so much already!
He is only waking once at night which makes for a very happy mumma, and is feeding like he's been doing it for years! We have already had to rearange his cupboard and put the 0000's and most of his 000 suits back in boxes! {They grow up so fast :( }

Todays task is to make an ink print of those gorgeous little feet to put next to Byrons on the shelf. Harpers feet are already much bigger then Byrons prints which were done at 8 weeks!! I think he's picked up a tall gene from somewhere. {Not from his mum or dad thats for sure!!)

We had all but given up on his natural arival into the world but with his inducement date luming I went into labour at 7pm on Friday night and at 3am Saturday morning we welcomed little Harper into the world... He's just beautiful, just hoping his big brother calms down a bit! {Very Jealous indeed!!}

Yesterday we headed to the Gisborne park for Byron's little friend Maie's second birthday Party.. It was such a nice day and would have been perfect if I had of been sun smart and sat in the shade, But unfortunately that was to much for my pregnant brain and now my back is red raw... {ouch}, to top it off the grass had recently been mowed causing Byron to have some serious hay fever.. Poor little thing had the puffiest eyes... (Didn't stop him from trying to jump in the creek that runs past though!!)

Shona and Matts wedding was held at Shona's parents house on a beautiful property near Strathfieldsaye in Bendigo on the 28th of Feb 09.

I was lucky enough to be asked by local Photographer Renee Carey to be her assistant/ second photographer for the day and of course accepted!

The weather was a lovely 25degrees and skies picture perfect. The only problem we really came across was a bit of glare when we were doing posed shots of the new bride and groom.

Shona as you may have noticed from the pics is quite pregnant and just looked fantastic, you go girl!!

Pictures turned out fantastic, we were a little weary when everywhere we looked was dry paddocks, but in the end I think the backgrounds were perfect.

Taking photos of the cars was fun, I had never been close to a car with my Camera in hand and when I was given this job honestly I was a little nervous! Luckily for me Mick is a mad car fan and I have been swamped with endless car magazines, so off I went and just copied what I could remember from them! Think they turned out pretty well considering!!

All and all a job well done!
